Congregational Care

Holding Hands

Congregational Care is very important to us at San Carlos UMC. Congregational Care is made up of teams of volunteers who care for others in many different ways and is coordinated by Tonia Gombold.  If you would like more information about any of our services, please send Tonia an EMAIL.

Church Welcome Table

Please visit our Welcome Table Sunday mornings, which is located on the church patio.  There you will be greeted by our friendly volunteers who will answer any questions you may have.  You will also be able to pick up a copy of our monthly newsletter and other flyers with information about upcoming events. Typically there are sign up clipboards at the table for the various classes and events offered throughout the year.

If you are in the hospital, nursing home, homebound or simply are unable to attend church we have a team of volunteers who would love to come and visit with you.  If you know of someone who would enjoy a visit, please let us know.

These cheerful volunteers send cards and notes to those who are homebound or in a hospital/care facility. These cards and notes brighten up the day for so many of our members who can’t get to church anymore. If you know of someone who would enjoy a note, please let us know.

This special group of volunteers offers Communion once a month to those who aren’t able to attend church. If you know of someone who would like to receive Communion in their home, please let us know.

For those who no longer drive, this team provides transportation to doctor’s appointments as well as assistance with getting groceries and prescriptions.  If you know someone who needs help with transportation, please let us know.
